The Job Hunt begins

Now that I've been here a week decided today was the day, time to begin the job hunt! I decided Federation Square and the area along the Yarra would be the best place to start. there are tons of restaurants and it is a pretty busy area. I printed out about 20 resumes and hit the streets. I've become quite savvy with the train which I take from Sandringham station near our house down to Flinders station downtown. a day pass is $9.90. I probably went between 12-15 places. I could tell there was some apprehension each time they heard my accent because they know I probably won't be around too long. Even though I'll only be here about 3 and a half months I've been telling them all 6 months. Ups my chances of being hired. None of them had applications, they all just take resumes. A few weren't hiring, a few were only looking for long term hires but i did hand out a few so hopefully I'll be hearing from someone soon. Tomorrow I'm going down to the Brighton beach area to check out the restaurants down there. Keep your fingers crossed everyone! I'm not ready to come home yet!
