Health and safety are important topics for a country to be concerned about. In the US we have lots of advertising about going green and such, in Australia- Work safety (like the poster next to this that was on the train), lung cancer, skin cancer, pollution, and other health concerns (did you know a 5 min power nap could save you from a car crash? Billboards....EVERYWHERE).These people take Health and safety to the extreme. Some of the grossest I've seen are the work safety commercials (that air during evening television programs like commercials for cereal). They usually involve some form of dismemberment. Like finger tips getting cut off using a meat slicer (they show the bloody stubs and tips fyi) or spilling a huge pot of boiling liquid on himself.
There area lot of climate concerns as well which include a commercial of a baby and mom in the kitchen with black balloons popping out of anywhere that energy is being wasted and causing the room to fill.
Water conservation is huge as well with lots of commercials showing how easy it is to waste water but also how easy it is to conserve. (You are only allowed a 4 min shower).
Although not all commercials are traumatizing they are all out there constantly in your face. Here are some links if you would like to watch.
